It never seems to fail to happen - Your flight arrives on the tarmac, you fight your way through the throngs of people trying to get their baggage from the conveyor belt - at least you do once it's been unloaded and hopefully in one piece - and after finding a trolley with a wonky wheel that has a life of its own and you're through customs that isn't the end. There you find a huge queue waiting at the taxi rank and too few taxis as usual.
Of course, there is always the bus or the train, but where do they stop and how often do they run? The guidebook has the details, you saw them before leaving... Or maybe it was the other guidebook, the one you left at home.
When finally you get to your hotel you can unpack a few things, maybe get changed, and start to enjoy your trip to Barcelona. The city has hundreds of things to see and do from the magnificent Sagrada Familia to the seafront bars and restaurants... and everything in between. And a walk down the Ramblas to see what's going on and see some of those human statues and other entertainment.
